ICC T20 WORLD CUP|SEMI FINAL|PRE MATCH ANALYSIS PAKISTAN VS SRILANKA

The making of a grand semi final Pakistan Vs SriLanka

Pakistan Side

It was like few days before a lot of advertisement was shown of L. Malinga bowling with his slinging action to Virat kohli who was hitting a crisp drive and Morne Morkel taking a great catch with the background music on to show that ICC T20 world cup was coming soon but dynamically time through its nature has brought us to an eventful stage of the tournament it’s a major semifinal game between two Asian giant SL and PAK. Pak has proven them already in the earlier edition of the T20 world cup making to the semi's in the entire edition. This time too they are looking to repeat the triumph and bravery leading to the success them achieved in 2009 finally and they are trying to repeat the history ageing with their lucky comeback Helping by contended of this edition SA removing them out of the tournament. The main problem they are facing is their ground fielding and weak catching, catches were dropped almost in all the games they have played. Batsman too have clicked but not at that pace for which they are famous for. Only Nasir Jamshed imnar Nazir and mohamad Haffez have proved themself but
other players like Kamran Akmal who played gem of an inning against India in the practice match haven’t joined the party and the other bating failure are shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal and even other middle other batsman haven’t show their caliber and it might be curse to them for dropping their all-time all rounder Abdul Razzaq.Their strength has been the consistency of Saeed Ajmal whose variation is making even the best batsman play wrong short and the youngster Raza Hasan who has economy rate better than Ajmal and has Man of the Match in the last game against Aussies with his two wickets has been a new revolution for the side.In fact Umar Gul has proved himself in the entire department making him proved with the bat against a giant team like SA when his team was under pressure. Adding to it his consistence reverse sweep in the death over and his terrific catching has added new test to the golden achievement in the tournament. Even having the best side they need work harder to win this tournament and to prove them again and also must show huge amount of spirit firstly against
the home giant and consistence performers Lankans.

Srilankan Side

On the other side of the coin are the Lankans lions that have been the only consistence team with bat and ball and even in have set their standard in the fielding depart. The pace attack headed by L Malinga who is a wicket taking machine in the IPL for Mumbai Indians has a lot of experience and just to prove our statement and his strength, he took 5 wickets against England and even made a successful super over against NZ for the victory of their side. Following his in the pace attack Nuwan Kulasekara has always been a good new ball partner swinging in for the right hardens and going away for the Left Handers giving very little room to the batsman.followng them starts clever line up of all-rounders A.Mathews and T.Perera who can change the game within a short period of time with both bat and bowl. Now it’s the turn of the spinners to do the damage because Colombo has been identified for the good spinners. In this respect we can say that Pakistanis might be a nightmare and a little heavy for the home team Lankans. Although with all this names its look like complete team but we are missing some big name which has been recognized as the back bone of Lankans bating line up who can put pressure of the turners of Pakistan namely M.jayawredena, TM Dilshan and K.sangakara. This mixture is almost the best in the papers but all that matters is the performance in the field. They haven’t lost a game in the super Eight and looking more confidence to win the semi and even give thought fight in the final. The home crowd is being them and all they need to do is to play their natural game without trying anything different and keep them self alive with the same bowling and exceptional fielding
Both the team has the talent and is looking forward to tear apart each other to place their name in the final of the tournament. Hope this game would provide much more entertainment to the home crowd as well as the millions of the people behind the TV, Net etc. and finally proved to be a nail biter similar to the game of super eight.
