OUTSTANDING VICTORY FOR KKR AGAINST MI

Kolkata Knight Riders 140/7 (20/20 ov)Mumbai Indians 108 (19.1/20 ov)

Kolkata Knight Riders won by 32 runs

·         Mumbai Indians RR 5.63
·         Last 5 ovs 31/7 RR 6.20
·         Required RR 39.60

So far this season of IPL has been of great amusement and surprise. The match today played between Kolkata and Mumbai was also of same kind. Kolkata batted first and produced a relatively low total of 140/7. As usual Gambhir batted for Kolkata he got 27 of 23 with 3 fours and 1 six. McCullum got the lbw decision and kallis was bowled in the first ball. Tiwary got 41(43) with 2 fours and 2 six, Pathan also helped somewhat for with his 21(21) with 2 fours. With this pressure they manage to get the score. Losing the previous two matches KKR were in great pressure . Knight Riders  side were full of spinner and this strategy helped them a lot in this match breaking out 32 runs victory, it was really marvelous effort from the bowler of KKR that guaranteed their place in top four with 19 points and NRR of +.478 even if they lose their final match.
Celebration from Narine.

The way Narine (3.1-15-4) bowled today was really down to earth for Knight Riders. Actually he is really unpredictable man he can bowl every kind of ball. He took one of the biggest wicket for KKR i.e Tendulkar 27(24), and he didn’t  stop on that other 3 MI batsman were fish on his net and finally destroyed MI innings. Narine is really extraordinary, but Balaji´s(4-11-2) spell as well as Kalis´s(4-32-2) last over back to back wickets, which turn out to be the turning point of the game.Balaji remains quiet economical through out the game with the economy of just 2.75. At one stage MI were 2-60 when it was thought the game will be on MI side but they lost their last 5 wickets just for 12 runs and finished their inning in just 108/10 in 19.1 over, seems like really lucky day for KKR. About the win KKR skipper Gambhir said  in presentation ceremony “I don't think we had enough, but after losing two wickets early then 140 was a good total ... If we win the next one we'll be in the top two. If we had lost this we would have been under pressure. Today's win will give us confidence."
With this lose MI might be in great trouble in the point table, now they have got pressure of winning the coming matches. With this lose they are still on third on table with 18 points and KKR on second with 19 points.
