ASIA CUP|NEPAL VS INDIA |NEPALI CRICKET

ALL IS WELL FOR NEPALI CRICKET

Best Of Luck TO Nepali Team

India v Nepal at Bayuemas

Nepali batsman showed positive intent at the beginning and the most promising starts by the opener but suddenly awful cricket and very poor middle order show gave a headache before Rajesh Pulami and sagar pun held the inning with the former making 39(45) odd runs and pulami run a ball 70(90).The best part has been their bowling and fielding of our brave Nepal players. We are always rated under dogs and must prove that we can win the battle against India and prove that talent is not lacking in this naturally gifted nation. The advantage that we have is India is also under a bit of pressure from their breath taking loss to arch rivals Pakistan. We expect a lot to follow the match between the under rated Nepali team and much expected tournament favourites. We have talented and courageous son of mother Nepal to beat India just mentality must be positive. We are not a looser and I am very sure that we would show a great fight with the so called superior team of U-19 qualifiers 2012.
Rahul Vishwakarma (MOTM)

It was a good game but always the best happens for the excellent team and Pakistanis were far more superior than Indians taday and this might give some deadly and well needed positive intension and self-confidence to our team. We need the historic triumph to uplift the game in this slowly but rapidly growing cricket crazy nation. We have a lot of positive performances till now and undoubtly Sagar pun is the stand out performer. His magical off spin and matured batting is most required by Nepal in the high voltage game against India. Similarly captain cool prithu has missed out in todays match but surely he is going to do well against India.we are hoping a blast from BOOM BOOM AIRE. Pradeep Aire  and Subash khakurel must stand firm against a very good attack of Indians. We must rate ourselves a bit higher than what Indians rank themselves. We are going to beat India and anyhow make the dream of thousands of Nepaese cricket fan true

.May lord Pashupati, bhadrakali, gueshwari,Manokamana,Kali,Swayambhu and all 33 crores lord bless all the Neaplese players and provide with the balanced Cosmic energy.
With this I would like to congratulate all the Nepalese players for their win against Malaysia and like to give wishes especially to Rahul B.K……long live  mother Nepal and may cricket flourish in Nepal.

ASIA CUP|NEPAL WIN MALAYSIA BY 107 RUNS|MATCH SUMMARY

U-19 Asia cup match summary | Reason for easy win

Point Table
Nepal Under-19s 247/8 (50 ov)
Malaysia Under-19s 140 (43.0 ov)
Nepal Under-19s won by 107 runs
Played at Royal Selangor Club, Kuala Lumpur
24 June 2012 (50-over match)

This is an comprehensive win for Nepal and they have created a great chance for the finals. The match palyed today at Selangor club(where they were defeated by Pakistanis in the lase match) , Kuala Lumpur definitively gave them a new child of hope for their national side. Thought the match was not thrilling and was completely on the Nepalese side it gave us to see
some of the class performance by two of Nepali batsman Rajesh Pulami Magar and the Sagar Pun. Among these two Sagar Pun seems quit lucky and good today he manage to get 70(90) with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Expressing his effort and happiness Rajesh Pulami who scored 39(45) with 3 fours said, " Thanks for all the fans who well wished for our victory. The whole team express happines for this victory among the fans. We will do our best to reach the semi-finals".

Score sheet(Nepal vs Malaysia)
Winning Celebration
Nepal has as good start today, opening partnership between Subash Khakurel and Pradip Airee was quit good of 74 in 15.5 overs but the bad signs starts with the dismissal of both openers with the team total of 75 with their personal score of 33(39) and 39(57)(Khakureal and Airee respectively). After this the usual trend of falling wickets satarts for Nepalese and Nepal loose two more wickets in just 15 runs. Nepal skipper Prithu Bashkota 0(3) and Naresh Budayair 4(24) were dismiss at that instant and Nepal were in great trouble but the two batsman Pulami and Pun played and excellent inning to take the their side in safe land. The effort from the tail handers were also great, Hashim Anshari and Bhuwan Karki scoring 21(23) and 23(15) respectively. Karki hit 2 fours while Ansari 1 thus their marvelous effort take Nepalese side to the grand total of 247/8(50.0 over).

The most promising thing for the Nepalese side today was their bowling. All the bowlers bowled excellent creating the great pressure for the oponnents. There was maden overs from almost each bowler in the beginning which help in creating unbearable pressure to the Malaysian thus they loose their two early wickets in just a total of 28(12.3 over) and destruction was continued with a little gap in of 53 runs partnership between Muhammad Syahadadh 36(70) and SKG krishnan 23(43). every bowler gave their excellency with their full effort. Among them Rahul Vishwakarma who took 5 wickets with and economy of 4.42 in 7 overs with 1 maden was quit appreciable and the skipper Prithu Bashkota who was out for 0(3) give his excellency in bowling with 2 wickets in 3 overs with 1 maden at economy of 2.00. Thus finally malaysian side remains abandoned with the total of 140/10 in 43.00 overs giving Nepalese side a comfortable victory of 107 runs.

Giving the hope for the semi Nepalese side perform well even after losing their first match in crushed way with Pakistan. Definitively today's match give them a lesson of how to play even in worst condition and full pressure. Now if Nepal defeat India in their next match then they will reach the next round because Indians were defeated in their match against
Pakistan by 1 run today.

Current socre Update U-19 Asia Cup

Finally the wait is over.

We have been waiting this game since long hour and finally we are into it. The game has begun and neplesse batsman has getting a move on. up to now 4 wickets have fallen and Rajesh Pulami and Prithu Baskota are on the crease and trying to hold the inning hold together. Pakistan with the solid pace attack are making life difficult for Nepalese team and our batsman, the players are there with the hope of giving the great fight to the Pakistanis. Nepalese players are getting tough deliveries from Azizullah and Mohammed Nawaz. Very good bowling and good fielding are making out batsman to play patiently and waiting game. Lets out prearation was enough to make a historic win in the opener this year U-19 Asia cup and be finally prepare for the U-19 world cup. I read some where "those who wait and play patiently in cricket make their way to reach their aim". So with this hope and pray may our players make their way forward and do it for all the payers. I pray the almighty give all the cosmic energy to each Nepali players to held our flag high and make our nation proud .

NEPALI CRICKET | ASIA CUP | HOW TO WIN A GAME

How can you win a game?

Fig:-Nepali Flag
Winning is not being lucky, but is an act which you perform with your ability keeping in mind not to be weak in any sense. I think winning is not just being successful but being valuable. Your win is not just within yourself but to all of those who are concerned with you. Your win is a gift you get by your labour.it is what we achieve after a long struggle over period of time. It’s a quality that we often see or realize with the brave hearted person who holds a lifelong pain and makes struggle his strength. It can come in any form in any field with a surprise but in most of the cases when you deserve to win.
Now talking particularly in cricket a win is something you play for. Something you dream of before the start and work on it during the play and finally achieve it after the game is finished. It’s not as easy to write yet not impossible too. Basically it’s a team game, every individual must impinge in one’s mind that it may be his contribution in any of the three departments that his team may win any game on any venue against any team. And that is what is called a spirit of the game. Cricket is a beautiful game and winning is just like devising a theory in physics until you make, it happen practically it sounds and looks ideal. But you should keep in mind that a win must be gain with some spirit which a game demands. Winning at any cost is not what we are looking at because it may be the root cause for all the ill-practices going on cricket currently.
We must play a fair game and remember the flag and patriotism. The peoples want and desire must be kept in heart and they must try to meet their expectation thoroughly by playing a fair game. The more we cheat or illusively set ourselves in height we are sooner or later going to fall in a deep hole. This is conservation and it really happens in nature, all the players must accept it!  Thus a fair and struggled win is of great virtue than a readymade win which was set up before the stadium was opened.

Fig:-Moment of win
There has been something fascinating about this game that it has been really unpredictable yet so beautiful that I feel it as having a holy bath in the religious river, when I describe about it. This time around I am explaining about the perspective which Nepalese cricketers can keep into their mind to win the upcoming mountain of the matches. A lot of enthusiasm and patience is required with the equal proportion of confidence and hunger to win and beat anyone who stands in front of Nepal. They must never judge themselves watching the opposition’s strength rather point out their own weakness and convert that into a strength, that is what Nepalese team require today. For instance, the U-19 team of Nepal must think about the weakness in batting department of every individual rather than keeping fear of the strength of Indian and other well established test playing nations. I just want to make Nepalese players to remember this quote as their main mantra. The quote is by Brett Lee, one of the world’s fastest bowler, he said, “one who have never throws a dice can never expect to get six”. So it’s the initiative that matters .you must have your accelerator and brakes on your control to have a smooth and fearless drive. That is what is require by our cricketers to stay smooth, fit and competitive in the upcoming major tournaments.

Any team can be beaten in a day because every day is a new phase of time and there are equal opportunities to every one of us, it depends on how much an individual can hold. An opportunity never knocks the door twice. Some say catches win the matches, others a great batsman ship or a good start and rest of them a magical spell but I believe equal dedication in all of the mentioned departments make a win thoroughly professional or world-class. When Australia were beaten by Bangladesh in the year 2005 it was all due to tight bowling and fielding to wrap up Australia under 260 and then good batsman ship from Mohammad Ashraful and later on by Aftab ahmed when he smacked Gillespie for a six to seal the win for Bangladesh, they proved the statement I mentioned above. They beat the world champions then, so why can’t we beat India or Pakistan???Winning is also being bravery and who else then Australia knew yet they were beaten and beaten comprehensively.
Being a Nepali and a great fan of Nepali cricket I believe our hearts is too beating very hard and our ears are very egger to hear the unexpected result we might bring against the better one in Asia cup. It has been a great time since we Nepalese are have prayed a lot to win a war and I have heard winning a war is different than winning a battle about which who can know better than us. This time we are in war through long battle and we hope our soldiers will bring us a great message of win over them who have been our great rivals in every field. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL THE PLAYERS AND SUPPORTERS OF THE GREAT WAR U-19 “ASIA CUP” 2012.

ASIA CUP|NEPALI CRICKET

Nepali Cricket probably getting a move on now.
As soon as players are getting lot of support from fans and coach Pubundu Dasanayike players like Sharad veshwakar, Vinod das and many other those who were out of form in the recent tournament  are getting a pick up. We are getting to see some fresh performance by old players. It might be the impact of Paras khadka’s departure to Canada, Amrit Bhattrai and Chandra Saud’s getting call from Sri-lanka, similarly Mehboob Alam’s call to America. Not only on players but whole nation is just out and about taking Cricket bat and bowl. The country, like ours where football had a monopoly, its just getting transformed into cricketing nation. I personally being worshipper of the game feel very happy about it.I am not arguing that football has been beaten but I am giving information on the increment of the fan following of cricket in Nepal.
Although CAN has been very passive, the effort of an individual (BIRAT RAYA) is making cricket go crazy in this beautiful nation. The administrator of a well followed page in the Facebook (Nepali Cricket Fans on Facebook) has acted like an individual institution and has shown to many of our leaders of each and every field that if you are loyal and responsible you can reach where you aim not only by words but also by deeds. His effort has done a lot to the cricketers come across in communication with the local people and upcoming players. He is running an academy informally and is proving himself the best person to promote cricket in Nepal and efforts from others all supporters are also respectful.  ICC had once announced that if our country would make Mulpani stadium within the given deadline then we could even organize major tournaments, but it all ended rapidly as a sweet dream. Not only men but women cricket has done themselves a world of good being crowned 3 times in a row as ACC ELITE CUP winners. They too are changing fate of cricket in this sports crazy nation.
Rise of Nepal
Moving forward we should look into the major tournament that is knocking at the door. First of all Asia cup in which we are lined up with the Asian giants India & Pakistan. They have been playing IPL and other major tournaments to be prepared to beat some major teams but we can’t just wait to be beaten, in fact we should prepare our self mentally and physically that in any game any team can be beaten depending how positively and enthusiastically you take the game. Its only due to positive mindset teams like Australia and Sri lanka were beaten by sides like Kenya who where then thought weaker  sides in comparisons to the opponents. Kenya then went to the semi-final stage of Cricket World Cup 2003.Likewise Bangladesh proved recently that good batting, fielding and Bowling can beat the finalists of recently held world cup. Though they merely lost the Asia cup by 3 runs they showed that courage and caliber leads to the door of victory. Similarly Nepal has a lot of young talent. They can make a mark and set themselves in the international stage if they do well here in the Asia cup. They must prove themselves to be the descendent of the fighters. If our top order put a good show in the batting department then you can be sure that match would be pulled up by our fielders and bowlers. Then the other major series is the U-19 world cup in Australia and New-Zealand. The challenge there would be the pace and bounce and swing in the air. We need to battle hard to make a mark there too. Our batsman need to adapt the surrounding and conditions fast. Hence a huge challenge and struggle is coming in the upcoming days which would probably take cricket to new direction and hopefully mother Nepal would see herself in the biggest front pages to have ever imagined. They have got really big match this year and this year would judge the real talent of Nepalese cricket. Below are some of the jaint matches Nepal will play this year.
This year, Nepal U-19 will play with 5 World's Cricket Giants.
June 21 - Nepal VS India (Asia Cup)
June 26 - Nepal VS Pakistan (Asia Cup)
August 8 - Nepal VS New Zealand (WorldCup, Warm-up)
August 13 - Nepal vs Australia (World Cup)
August 16 - Nepal vs England (World Cup)
Hope to see Nepal defeating at least 2 nations
.

Let us just see our squad and compare it with the giants of Asia, Pakistan and India for the upcoming Asia cup.

13.Gopal K.Singh
13. Shahid Ilyas
14.Saurav Khanal
14. Usman Qadir
15.Ramnaresh Giri
15. Syed Saad Ali
Captains

India side
1.Unmukt Chand (Captain),
2.Akshdeep Nath (Vice-Captain),
3.Manan Vohra,
4.Akhil Herwadkar,
5.Aparajith Baba,
6.Vijay Zol,
7.Sandipan Das,
8.Vikas Mishra,
9.Sandeep Sharma,
10.Rush Kalaria,
11.Mohsin Sayyed,
12.Smit Patel,
13.Harmeet Singh,
14.Kamal Passi,
15.Sanju Samson

I am trying you to make comparison of the mentioned players with their detail and stat……as for instance Unmukt Chand captain of India featured in IPL and showed his talent. Chand hit Dale Steyn for four and made his mark in this IPL playing for Delhi with some brisk timing. Similarly Harmeet Singh who featured from Deccan Chargers in their winning year and currently part of Kings XI Punjab might be a big threat to all of our players with tons of experience of sharing time with the legend like Adam Gilchrist and modern giants like David Hussey, Shaun Marsh and experienced Praveen Kumar. Likewise, Nepali players should pull up their socks to match with the standard of these guys. I have read the quote from Sachin Tendulkar “If you dedicate your whole life to cricket as I have done then you will feel the beauty of the game”. Likewise, a big occasion is coming on the 15th of June, the most successful captain of the current world champion India is arriving to Pashupatinath temple. As per schedule mentioned from Indian embassy Dhoni is going to give some cricketing tips to our players. This might be a good confidence booster to all our players and I find all of our players fortunate to even hear a word from him. This is probably the first time but not the last time. So this visit of Midas of Indian cricket might prove golden moment for the history of Nepali cricket. Let’s hope this visit might boost all of our players before the major tournaments and maybe we could establish our name amongst the well rank teams.

Pakistan's innings was not started well and they manage to make some average total of 122, with the Sri Lankan bowlers - both pace and spin - providing meagre opportunities to score while running through the top orders, they seems destroying pakistani inings until afridi holds it and make a marvelous haflcentury(52) and some what been able to rescue them from their bad innigs. they have already lost their first T20 with srilankan by 35 runs so to save their prestige and proud the team have a bit pressure today.
Afridi shifted through his gears, whipping Perera to boundary, a stroke that had a similarity  of MS Dhoni's helicopter in it, and lofting inside out to cover. It was a day of luck that he was drop on 42 by Dilshan, and he hit the innings first six in 19 over. He got to his 50 off 30 balls.
Sri Lanka will be satisfied with their performance in the field - a couple of dropped catches apart - considering they rested their captain Mahela Jayawardene and ace Twenty20 bowler Lasith Malinga. They were led by Angelo Mathews, who became his country's second-youngest captain, after Arjuna Ranatunga.
Kulasekara, however, had the final word, ending the innings like he started it, with an excellent five-run over that included Yasir Arafat's wicket.

Nepal is qualified for the first time in T20 world cup ICC qualifier (thankful to Hameed Sayed of Saudi Arab) and Nepalese team was thought to be the most weak team among the 16 team squad but the underestimated Nepali team gave a dead blow to those who thought them to be weak and a beautiful hope to well-wisher they ranked as no 7 at the end. Though team didn’t qualify for the T20 world cup, they really performed well and did awesome job in the league, they defeated world cup qualified team (13th rank by ICC) Kenya and has been as the headline in the local paper of Kenya for a week. This is one of the biggest achievements of national side. This achievement gave a great impact on the world cricket. The country’s documentary was shown in ESPN which also gave the supporters and local investor a new hope for its development. some of the result of impact are, all-rounder Shakti Gauchan who took 15 wickets in ICC T20 qualifier was invited in the IPL training camp of the Rajasthan royals where he got a chance to play with world class cricketer such as Rahul Dravid, Brad Hodge ,Ajinkya Rahane, saun Tait the second achievement is unforgettable and given all Nepalese player a great hope for the commercialization of Nepalese cricket  . Skipper paras khadka was invited by Ontario cricket club and currently he is making a huge mark there. The players like Chandra Saud and Amrit Bhattarai invited to play from srilanka U-23 and Guinness book recorder Meheboob Alam to play from US based club in Hudson. The help from the Pubundu Dashanaika (coach from the Nepalese side) is really respectable.
This development in Nepali cricket is giving a great hope for the upcoming generation and also has been a powerful medium for uniting the country in this critical state as we have seen more than 10 thousand fans and supporter in Division 5 and world T20 Qualifier held in Nepal. This game gave a new sunshine for the Nepalese supporter and also somewhat grabbed the concentration of international cricket society.

PROBLEMS IN DEVELOPMENT OF CRICKET IN NEPAL

Fig:-Nepali cricket fans in TU ground
Nepal is a poor country and it is struggling for basic need of the people,  as a result government has to pay very little attention on sports so it allocated  relatively lower budget for the development of cricket but the prominent issue than this is corruption and inactiveness of represented body such as Cricket Association Of Nepal(CAN). Most of the allocated money is being corrupted till it reaches to lower level, or more precisely they don’t even give great importance to sports rather they feel their thirst, so one (government) is ruled out. Now just remains CAN which is thought to be one of the most passive sporting association by fans and critics in Nepal. They merely conduct national level game in a year, their job have been only to select the players but not to make them players or not even to encourage them to play. Most people say that the players selection process is also unfair and corrupted one, Such as a player with no cricketing brain but with good relation with selectors will get a chance rather than a good talented unrelated player. Despite of the great efforts from players and well-wisher Nepal didn’t have International Standard ground where international cricket can be played or about which ICC could have a concern so that to organize big game. I guess below listed points will give a great pace in the development of national cricket.
1. Nationwide awareness about cricket.
2. Fair and appreciable selection process leaving all sorts of corruption, blessing for relation etc.
3. Organizing national crickets of all level in all parts of country so as to bring young and talented youth in national squad.
4. Preparing the base level cricket such as U-16 stronger so as to make home production more powerful and also reduce the worry about the players in last hour or the academic development of cricket.
5. Graving the concentration from the corporates so that cricket can be commercialized and hence players can earn from it so as to facilitate their living.
6. Development of international level cricket ground so that international cricket can be organized such as UAE, Malaysia etc. is doing in the past years. These helps in promotion of Nepalese cricket and also help in awareness of people about cricket.
7. Friendly matches with associate nation, concern from CAN so that Nepalese players can play in premier league held in test playing nation such as India (IPL), Bangladesh (BPL), Pakistan (PPL) etc.

Some hidden but bitter truth we guess existed in between Nepali players is leaving game due to different level of university exam they faced because of no provision of pre-pond and post-pond of it, which is making them to quit the career despite of their great talent and desire.
So these are some of most common and required issues for the betterment of future cricket in Nepal. I personally guess Iron Gate is already open for the Nepali cricket but what we need now is good and faithful soldiers to fight for their country side and make their nation proud so that it can be a relief for wound Nepalese are getting through immense violence and political instability. Best wishes all to Nepalese cricketer and the fans.
